Emerging tech is a crowded arena with progress dictated by a complex regulatory environment. The BREX Firm (BREX) provides strategic communications and media services to influence and transform public perception for companies, executives, and start-ups in the tech, aerospace, and defense industries.
Brecke Boyd
BREX’s founder and principal, Brecke Boyd, provides clients strategic advice and tactical execution based on two decades of experience spanning from Fortune 100 companies like Amazon and Lockheed Martin to roles in government and top-tier international regulatory law firms. With extensive knowledge in both government and commercial tech industries, Brecke provides a sharp focus on policy communications tailored for clients' unique needs.

Prior to founding BREX, Brecke worked at Amazon for Project Kuiper, the company’s high priority initiative to deliver global broadband through a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites. There, she led media and advocacy initiatives aligned with regulatory, policy, and government contracting business areas. At Lockheed Martin, the nation’s largest defense contractor, Brecke executed media and advocacy campaigns for the F-35 Lighting II program and for LM Ventures, Lockheed’s venture capital enterprise that invests in tech start-ups. In the legal arena, Brecke led media relations for two highly-respected international regulatory law firms, WilmerHale and BakerBotts. In each role, she focused on media solutions related to litigation, corporate ventures, and executive communications for firm partners having previously served at the highest levels of government. Brecke’s career started in the public sector, serving on both sides of the political aisle as Communications Director for three U.S. Members of Congress and as a press aide for a Governor.
Brecke holds a Master of Mass Communications in Political Journalism from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Stephen F. Austin University. Brecke lives in the Washington, D.C. area.
